Chris – TwoSyncFIFA (English Version)

For the first time in a long time, we arranged an interview with a FFIA-YouTuber. And it’s not just any YouTuber, it’s Chris from TwoSyncFIFA! TwoSyncFIFA is a YouTube-channel with over a million subscribers. Chris plays FIFA everyday with his brother Mat, and it’s obvious to say the brothers are very succesful.

1. How and why did you start making YouTube videos?

I started making YouTube videos because it was just a really cool concept to share videos to people all over the world. I remember when I started to get people posting comments from all sorts of countries, and it fascinated me. It was just really, really cool. I made my first channel around 4-5 years ago, and never thought I’d be so heavily involved in it so many years later down the line.

2. What would you be doing, if you weren’t YouTubers?
That’s a good question. I’m very passionate about song writing, and would maybe be doing more with that. I play acoustic / write songs / sing. I love it in my own private time. I think people would be surprised how much more there is to me than they see on YouTube.

3. When did you start taping your reactions to FUT-packs?

Well I started making FIFA videos with Mat and a friend on FIFA 09 clubs. Then I guess as the years went on it naturally evolved into something much bigger….Packs make entertaining videos I guess. People love it. I probably enjoy recording pack openings the most. Makes good laughs.

4. What was the best ever player that you packed?
Best player? Ahhh I’ve had so many now I can’t think of the top of my head. This isn’t my best, but me and Mat both packed Messi in the same pack opening….That was SO weird. Crazy.

5. Where do you find your inspiration for the music that you put under the video?
The music we use just fits the videos depending on what’s happening. I guess it’s just a way to add excitement.

6. Do you actually play matches with your teams?
We don’t do that. Any games we play against each other are always on the
channel.

7. Have you ever thought of splitting up and making own channels by yourselves?
No. We have a very special chemistry I think. We work well together and will be for a long time yet I think. We used to have our own channels, but they weren’t as successful as TwoSync.

8. Who are your favourite YouTubers?
We both like PewDiepie. He’s a great guy. I think he’s naturally very funny. I’m also a fan of Swifty…Not sure if you’ll be too familiar with him as he’s not FIFA. We were big fans of Athene years ago, too.

9. What’s your favourite team to use in FIFA (Kick-off mode)?
Manchester City!

10. Why do you support Man City?
Our brother in law was a huge city fan, and he started to take us to games. Ever since I started going, I warmed to the club / felt happy to be there. It just naturally started to feel like home. We aren’t “Glory hunters” like most Man City fans get labelled now

11. What do you know about Dutch football?
I’ll be honest, I don’t know much about Dutch football! I only really follow the BPL. I do have a good dutch friend, and we visited Amsterdam to see an Ajax game in January…It was fantastic. Ajax played FC Groningen and the player that stood out the most was definitely Jasper Cillessen. So I can say the Amsterdam Arena is incredible.

12. What do you think of the new gamemode FUT Draft?
The new game mode actually looks fantastic, I think it will be especially good for videos…

13. What was your favourite Ultimate Team-series to make?
Our best series was probably Feed The Beast. I think a lot of people say this.

14. What’s the biggest win for you against each other?
I think we have both beat each other 6-1 or 6-2…Something like that!

15. Do you remember the first time you played each other?
Honestly, not really…We have been playing football games since we were around 8.

16. Who is your all-time favourite player on FUT?
Andy Johnson, FIFA 12. He was a budget beast for me.

17. What would you like to add in FIFA 16?
I’d love to see Pro Clubs improve. I still feel it has a long way to go, and could be so much better.
